Scientia Geographica Sinica is a comprehensive geographical academic journal, governed by the Chinese Academy of Sciences and sponsored by Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, CAS and the Geographical Society of China.  It is a Chinese Core Journal (Social Sciences) and distributed and published worldwide. The journal mainly reports frontier research results funded and supported by National Natural Science Foundation, State Key Laboratory Foundation, National Programs for Science and Technology Development, and other key projects. The journal mainly publishes articles in the following research areas: application of remote sensing of environment and geographic information system, human-land relationship, natural resources, population, environment, energy, climate change, and sea level rise. Research articles, reports, reviews, discussions, techniques and methods, dissertations abstracts, book reviews, and academic activity reports on the above-mentioned topics are all welcomed. 

　　1. Please visit http://geoscien.neigae.ac.cn to make online submission. Submitted manuscripts should be in Word format and detailed correspondence address, E-mail, and phone number ought to be provided. The editorial office should be notified in case of any modification of such information.
　　2. The journal has right to modify and delete any content in the manuscript.
　　3. Authors agree to transfer to the editorial office all copyrights of manuscripts including the right of online first publishing and electronic publishing, multimedia publishing and internet publishing. Multiple submission is strictly forbidden.
　　4. Submission Instructions
　　4.1 Articles should have clear points and prominent topic with reliable data and concise wording. Articles should be six to seven pages long containing the main body text, figures and tables, references, and English abstract. The article should be 6~7 pages in length. 
　　4.2 Following items should be both in Chinese and English: article title, author names, authors’ institutes, post code, abstract, key words, funding projects, and references, and headings of figures and tables.
　　4.3 In-text headings should have no indentation and shall be preceded by structural numbers as 1, 1.1, 1.1.1.
　　4.4 Authors should be careful about the capital, superscript, and italic font, terms of species and formulas.
　　4.5 Original spelling shall be kept for foreign proper names. For the English part of the article, the Chinese proper names should be written in Pinyin or in accordance with minority languages. 
　　4.6 Figures and tables in articles should be concise and standardized. Please refer to the Chinese version of submission guideline for detailed requirements. 
　　4.7 The use of formulars, numbers, unit of measurement should be standardized. Please refer to the Chinese version of submission guideline for detailed requirements. 
　　4.8 Only published literature could be listed in references and should be coded consequentially in the order in which they appear in the text. References should mostly be articles published within two or three years. It is recommended to have 20 to 30 references in each article. Chinese references should be translated into English. Non-published materials should be noted at the footer of the page in which they are cited. 
　　4.9 The journal is published and distributed worldwide. Any confidential matters should be avoided in manuscripts and official names in maps ought to be used complying with national regulations.
　　4.10 Author names, birth date, gender, place of birth, title, research domain, E-mail, funding project number should be indicated both in Chinese and English at the first page of the manuscripts.
