摘要: 根据昆仑山垭口地区的地层与沉积相、地貌特征和构造特征等方面的分析,本区在早、中更新世之交发生了一次剧烈的构造运动,正是这次构造运动使本区强烈抬升至与现代接近的高度,而在此之前,本区的海拔不超过1500m.

Abstract: Based on the analyses of strata, sedimentary facies, landform and tectonic structure in Kunlun Mountains Pass area, a violent tectonic movement occurred in the border of the Early and Middle Pleistocene, and it was this movement that made the area uplift to near the present elevation. The elevation of this area was no more than 1500 m before that time.
