摘要: 经济学家廖士(August L sch)十分重视空间和区位的关系,他在德国传统的区位理论基础上从事经济与空间配置的研究,提出了经济景观学说。廖士曾希望他的研究能够形成一个新的领域——空间经济学,并能引起经济学自身的重构。但实际上,经济景观学说对经济学并没有多少影响。相反,在19世纪50~60年代,他的名著《区域经济学》却对经济地理学发展和区域科学孕育产生了巨大贡献。最近几年来,由于经济全球化的趋势,西方经济学家又开始对地理学产生兴趣,新经济地理学或地理经济学应运而生。主要就其研究内容和发展动向进行综述介绍,并在此基础上对西方经济学与地理学融合的新趋向进行了讨论。
